With 30 years of mortgage industry experience, Lorraine Piechnik helps clients throughout Charlotte, Matthews, the Triangle, and surrounding areas navigate the mortgage process with confidence. She specializes in Self-Employed Borrowers, Jumbo, Conventional, Non-QM, FHA, VA, USDA, First-Time Homebuyer programs, and Home Equity loans and lines of credit.
Known as a true guideline expert, Lorraine began her career as an underwriter and earned authority to approve Jumbo, Conventional, FHA, and VA loans. Her extensive underwriting background and expertise in analyzing tax returns make her a trusted resource for self-employed business owners and borrowers with complex financing needs. Lorraine’s approach centers on listening first, asking the right questions, and maintaining open communication to create a smooth path from pre-approval to closing.
Lorraine is a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB®), the highest designation awarded by the Mortgage Bankers Association, and has also served as an FHA Direct Endorsement Underwriter. Throughout her career, she has worked across nearly every area of the mortgage industry, including retail lending, wholesale lending, mortgage insurance, underwriting, and loan origination.
Outside of work, Lorraine is passionate about health and wellness, volunteering, cooking, traveling, and cycling scenic trails. She and her husband, Mike, enjoy visiting their children across the country and spending time with family and friends in their native upstate New York near the Adirondack Mountains. They also love entertaining and have fun perfecting the art of homemade pasta for friends and family.
